Freda travels to the USA

MylifE Ambassador Freda Darvel, is in Washington DC attending AIDS 2012 (http://www.dance4life.com/en/organisation/blog/2012/aids-2012/#.UAZ4n5ldBOc.facebook) the World’s largest gathering on health issues with an expected 40 000 people in attendance. Freda made National news headlines in 2002 when she made it to the final auditions of the Coca Cola Popstar’s whilst living on Jamieson Street in Cape Town, her story brought us all this enormous happy feeling of Hope.

Her life story was captured for 7 years by Swedish Film Producers and her first documentary, “Beneath the Stars” launched at Sithengi in 2004, winning awards Globally and brought Freda’s experience and understanding to the label “street” child. Freda’s story will be heard, it is about the children in our society living in “forgotten worlds” with many labels and little love. She is passionate about the future generations and the choices they make in preparing themselves to live in the 21^st Century.
